Die Walke AG wird Teil der Peyer Group AG

Walke AG, headquartered in Herisau, will become part of Peyer Group AG, based in Zug, effective January 2026. With this acquisition, the internationally active group strengthens its expertise in the areas of packaging, specialty papers and finishing.

Walke AG – Swiss industrial expertise with a long tradition

Founded at the end of the 19th century, Walke represents more than 140 years of Swiss expertise in paper and board manufacturing. Over time, the company has evolved from producing traditional papers to developing high-value materials and processes with significant added value, serving demanding customers in the packaging and industrial sectors.

In recent years, Walke has been systematically modernised with the involvement of the Antama Groupe. Targeted investments in technology, organisation and processes have enabled the company to further strengthen its position with demanding industrial customers in Switzerland and abroad.

Continuity and customer proximity remain key

Walke AG will continue to operate independently at its existing sites in Herisau (AR) and Givisiez (FR). The operational management team will remain in place, ensuring continuity and the continuation of established customer relationships.

The transition to the new ownership structure will take effect in January 2026 and will not result in any changes for customers, employees or ongoing business operations.
